Education and Engagement
Advancing a comprehensive asset policy agenda and far-reaching, sustainable asset formation programs requires both trained leaders and public and community engagement at all levels.
Through the PhD and Master of Public Policy programs at the Heller School for Social Policy and Management at Brandeis University, the Institute trains future academic leaders and policy practitioners to understand and discover new sources of data and advance new policy models to address issues of poverty, inequality, and economic security and well-being.
The Institute also works to promote an environment of public and institutional understanding, commitment, and support for asset policy change by engaging with community-based organizations, policy makers, constituency organizations, communities, and individuals affected by asset poverty. Together with our research and program support activities, IASP works to create coalitions, convenes and participates in policy forums, and informs the public and stakeholder organizations through media outreach and trainings.
