Women and Asset Development Summit
March 31-April 1, 2003: NCWA, in partnership with the Asset Development Institute (ADI) at Brandeis Center on Hunger and Poverty, convened a two-day, one-of-a-kind national summit of 100+ women and men who are leaders at the local, state and/or federal level, in work that promotes the economic security of women. The Women and Assets Summit was the launching event for a national initiative aimed at creating improved access to and utilization of wealth generating vehicles and policies. The summit was the important first step of bringing the asset development framework to the field. This project was funded by the U.S. Administration on Aging.

An event to benefit the National Center on Women & Aging.Brandeis University, November 10th, 2001: The Money Conference for Women (8am – 12pm)
This event, hosted by State Treasurer Shannon O’Brien in partnership with the YWCA Cambridge and the National Center on Women and Aging, was a FREE conference that focused on money management, retirement and investment strategies for women of all ages, incomes and levels of financial knowledge. Author and nationally recognized financial expert Dee Lee highlighted topics such as investing, retirement planning, getting out of debt, and choosing a financial advisor. Included breakfast, materials and an opportunity to meet with a financial planner between 12pm – 2pm.Chicago, November 19th, 2001: Taking Steps and Making Choices: A Look at Research on Women's Health After 50
In partnership with University of Illinois at Chicago's National Center of Excellence in Women's Health, the National Center on Women & Aging held a unique, interactive conference for midlife and older women and the professionals that serve them. The agenda for the day followed that of our very successful conference held at Brandeis University in summer 2000.
Taking Steps and Making Choices: A Look at Research on Women's Health After 50 -- The National Center on Women & Aging presented a day long conference to examine developments in women's health research and practice that are altering the way women view and manage health in the later years.
