Teresa Heinz is Chairman of the Heinz Family Philanthropies and of the Howard Heinz Endowment, which are considered among the nation’s most innovative philanthropic institutions. She also began the Heinz Awards, an annual program recognizing outstanding vision and achievement in the arts, public policy, technology and the economy, the environment, and the human condition.  Teresa Heinz has worked tirelessly to improve the future of women through her work in health care, economic empowerment, and safe and secure retirement.
The National Center on Women and Aging, established in 1995 at the Heller Graduate School, Brandeis University, brings national attention to the key issues affecting women. The Center is a leader in the effort to focus on women’s issues, dispelling myths and stereotypes about women’s aging, and crafting strategies and policies that can have the greatest impact on their lives. The Center’s work focuses on economic security, health and caregiving. By translating research in these key areas into recommendations and information useful to women, their advocates and concerned policy makers, it aims to help women take charge of their lives and plan for a fulfilling future.

The National Center on Women and Aging is currently the beneficiary of a matching challenge grant from The John A. Hartford Foundation of New York. This means that your support of Toast of the Town will have double the impact.
