NCWA 2002 National Poll on Women 50+ Issue Brief Series |
About NCWA and this series...
The National Center on Women & Aging is located at Brandeis University’s Heller School for Social Policy and Management. The Center’s 2002 national poll on American women age 50 and older was conducted with the financial support of the U.S. Administration on Aging. NCWA is very grateful for funding from the Wallerstein Foundation for Geriatric Life Improvement, which made this issue brief series possible.Poll data were collected from 1,001 women age 50 and older who completed a 30-minute telephone interview conducted by Synovate, a market research company. Poll participants were drawn from Synovate’s Consumer Mail Panel – a group of over a half-million pre-screened households balanced to be demographically representative of U.S. Census populations estimates.
